Kosin and the environment

Taking care of your clothing

We want you to take care of your Kosin items and for them to stay as fresh and comfortable for as long as possible. Fast fashion and products being thrown into landfill is something we do not like so please see our tips below on how to keep your items looking sharp.

Please turn your garments inside out and wash on as colder setting as possible, better for your clothes as well as the environment as a cold wash consumes much less energy. It also protects your clothes for longer.

Do not tumble dry, we offer a mix of digital and screen print on our items and neither like being spun around in a tumble dryer. Tumble dryers can cook garments, cause fading, shrinkage & degrade the print. This is before we even look at the impact on energy usage on the environment as well as the impact on your own energy bills.

Supply chain and materials

As mentioned above, fast fashion and unsustainable practices are not what we are about. We have taken time to work with UK based sourcing so we can ensure that both ours and their supply chains are transparent. This has resulted in a higher quality, slightly more expensive product but one that we are proud of.

Our sweatshirts and hoodies are made from 85% organic ringspun combed cotton and 15% recycled polyester. They are PETA certified and sourced using the Global Organic Textile Standard.

Our T shirts are 100% cotton or combed ringspun cotton and are sourced with the sustainable apparel coalition and fair labour association.

Beanies are sourced using the Fair-Trade Organisation and are also part of the 1% for the planet movement.

We use recycled packaging when we send product out and use electronic delivery notes as often as possible to cut down on unnecessary printing.

Most of our product are made to order on a drop ship basis, this ensures that we are not mass-producing garments when they are not required.

Ultimately, we are still learning, trying to improve our supply chain and practices, we are always willing to chat and learn so please get in touch if you have ideas, suggestions or any tips that can help us improve.

Our Designs

We are very lucky to have our very own Andy Mac, a designer by trade with a love of the outdoors. Put these together and you get the ocean and outdoor inspired designs you can find in our shop.
